Audience:
This course is intended for those individuals currently employed in the transit industry in any capacity in the field of transit human resources management. Prior experience in transit and/or in HR should be considered by transit agencies when selecting participants.
Description:
This is the second workshop of four modules that develops a workforce plan for recruiting, staffing and retention.
Objectives:
- Workforce Planning
The participants will be able to:- Explain the relationship between demographics and labor trends
- Develop a workforce plan
- Comprehend the latest recruiting methods and applicant tracking systems
- Evaluation Recruitment
The participants will be able to:- Utilize the latest attract and retain techniques
- Learn how to become an employer of choice
- Staffing
The participants will be able to:- Use proper screening techniques
- Employ proper interviewing skills
- Articulate the lates legal issues in staffing
